FENA Press release

SARAJEVO, June 11 (FENA) - Incomplete remains of a victim from the last war were found today during an exhumation at the Pusmulići site in the Srebrenica municipality.

It is presumed that the remains belong to a Bosniak victim who was killed in that area, in the genocide committed in July 1995, and today only the skull of the victim has been found.

“After the exhumation, the remains were transferred to the Commemorative Center in Tuzla for forensic examination and processing, and bone sample has been taken for DNA analysis to determine the identity of the victim,” said the Institute for Missing Persons of BiH.

Under the order of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the exhumation was handled by the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the investigator of the Institute for Missing Persons of Bosnia and Herzegovina, a forensic doctor and members of the RS Ministry of the Interior were also present.
