ZENICA, June 15 (FENA) - If there is a second wave of coronavirus, our measures will certainly not be restrictive. Luckily, population complied with all the measures and now there is individual responsibility, said Prime Minister of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Fadil Novalić, after meeting in the Government of Zenica-Doboj Canton.

Novalić pointed out that the Government of the Zenica-Doboj Canton (ZDC) announced that it would send "a list of all measures that should no longer be introduced because they have a negative effect on the economy."

“FBiH Government has created enough resources to help the cantons and municipalities to solve the problems. The Government did a good job and it would do it again,” Novalić answered the journalist's question whether he has the support to be the head of that government in case of second wave of the coronavirus epidemic.

“I think that on Thursday at the session the FBiH Government will transfer the funds to lower levels of government. About 31.8 million KM should be allocated to ZDC and it will be a significant support,” said Novalić.

He noted that the main project for the route of the corridor on the section Ozimice-Tešanj in ZDC, for which about 200 million euros will be spent, is coming to an end.

“The new restructuring of the mines must bring them to a functional and market sustainable position,” Novalić said.

Prime Minister of ZDC, Mirza Ganić, pointed out that the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy of ZDC was addressed by the liquidators, i.e. directors of companies KTK Visoko, Rudstroj Kakanj and Krivaja Zavidovići.

He noted that in that canton they are "used to living with coronavirus and organizing economic life" and that starting public works is important to them. He expressed hope that Elektroprivreda BiH will soon resume investments in the construction of HPP Vranduk and Janjići near Zenica.

“More payments in the budget means more opportunities to fulfill our legal and constitutional obligations. From that aspect Zenica-Doboj Canton, unfortunately, has lowered its budget replenishment, but in relation to other cantons it certainly has the best budget replenishment,” said Ganić, who expressed hope that the funds from the IMF loan arrangement will significantly stabilize the liquidity of ZDC budget and provide funding for public works.

The delegation of the Government of FBiH, that included Minster of Energy and Mining Nermin Džindić and Acting Director of Elektroprivreda BiH Admir Andelija, also visited Coal Mine Zenica, where they met with the management and discussed the reconstruction of Zenica mines.
