SARAJEVO, June 23 (FENA) - The House of Representatives of the Parliament of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina today adopted the Report on the Work of the FBiH Government for 2019.
54 deputies voted for the Government Report, 27 were against, while one abstained.
Presenting the report, the Prime Minister of FBiH Fadil Novalić emphasized that the FBiH ministries drafted 70 laws last year, of which 44 were adopted by the Government, 80 percent of the six decrees were completed, 23 decisions were made, of which 22 were adopted by the Government, as well as 37 ordinances of which the Government adopted 19, two strategies of which the Government adopted one, and 14 other documents were drafted.
“The FBiH Government has also adopted socio-economic reforms for the period from 2020 to 2022, and we are currently in the final phase of drafting an action plan for the implementation of all measures and activities from the strategy,” Novalić added.
He specified that in 2019, the BiH economy recorded a real growth of 2.3 percent and a nominal growth of five percent and reached a volume of 23 billion KM or 10.543 KM per capita, which puts us close in the middle of the list of middle developed countries.
“That growth is also reflected in the growth of revenues from indirect taxes and contributions of 2.2 percent, i.e. in 2019, slightly more than 5.3 billion KM was collected,” stated Novalić.
He pointed out that the number of employees in 2019 increased by 10.529 people, the unemployment rate decreased from 19.2 percent to 18.4 percent, while the average net salary increased by 4.8 percent and reached 958 KM and the average pension by 4,3 percent.
“As a consequence of good budget management, the public debt of the FBiH was reduced by 1.6 percent in 2019,” Novalić underlined.
