MOSTAR, June 25 (FENA) - The Prime Minister of the Federation of BiH Fadil Novalić, the Federal Minister of Transport and Communications Denis Lasić and the Director of the Highways of the Federation of BiH Adnan Terzić visited the construction site of the Počitelj - Zvirovići motorway section on Corridor Vc.
On that occasion, Lasić reminded that the construction of that section started in September last year.
- The construction period is 30 months, which means that this section should be completed in the summer of 2022. By the summer of 2022, I believe that we will reach the Kvanj tunnel, and in the meantime, that tunnel will be built, so that we will more or less connect Mostar to the southern part of the corridor. We also plan to announce a tender for the section Mostar North - Mostar South, so with the completion of the Prenj tunnel, the most demanding part on Corridor Vc, we will have constructed a highway - said Lasić.
In a statement to FENA, Prime Minister Fadil Novalić said that he had come to see today the new concept of the Federation of BiH Motorways, which implies simultaneous work on several smaller sections.
According to him, he talked with the first man of the FBiH Highway today about the beginning of the construction of the section Konjic - Ovčari - Mostar Airport, with a total length of 51 kilometers, and about the section from Žepče to Putnikova brda about 40 kilometers long.
- It is realistic to expect that in 6 to 7 years they could close the entire Vc corridor. We have enough financial potential, investors are backing us and I think we will achieve that goal - said Novalić.
