SARAJEVO, June 26 (FENA) - Member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Milorad Dodik said in Sarajevo today that the Bill on Budget of BiH Institutions and International Obligations for 2020, adopted by the Presidency at today's extraordinary session, provides funds for financing local elections this year.

“I believe that the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH will adopt the budget next week and solve the financing of holding local elections,” stated Dodik.

He explained that this year's obligations of the Republika Srpska based on the repayment of foreign debt amount to 280 million KM and are 28 million KM less than in 2019, while the same obligations of the Federation of BiH amount to about 530 million KM and are higher by 10 million than last year.

“The budget amounts to 1.8 billion KM, of which about 800 million refers to financing of the debt of the entities,” Dodik specified.

He added that about 41 million KM had been provided for mitigating the consequences of the pandemic, so that the planned expenditures for capital procurement of BiH institutions were almost halved.
