SARAJEVO, June 29 (FENA) - President of the Federation of BiH, Marinko Čavara, talked today with Representative of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) for BiH, John Kennedy Mosoti.
Mosoti pointed out that the UN Population Fund has always had good cooperation with the institutions of the Federation of BiH, especially during the term of office of the President of the Federation of BiH, Marinko Čavara.
He also pointed out that the goal of the Fund is to support the institutions of the Federation of BiH in achieving the set goals, especially in the issue of young and older people. In this regard, he stressed the importance of adopting the Youth Strategy, which has not yet been adopted by the Parliament of the Federation of BiH, as well as in all cantons, and which is key to creating better living conditions for young people in the Federation of BiH and BiH, announced the Office of the FBiH President.
"There are three major challenges we have to face, and these are low birth rates, increased share of elderly in the population and the departure of young people and families. These are important issues that we need to discuss and solve together through the program, that is, through the measures included in the population policy strategy in BiH, especially on youth issues,” said UNFPA Representative Mosoti.
The President of the Federation of BiH thanked the representative of the UN Population Fund for the visit and a comprehensive overview of these problems that need to be addressed in order for young people to stay in this area.
