SARAJEVO, July 30 (FENA) - Deputy Speaker of the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina (PA BiH) Bakir Izetbegović received Metropolitan Dabro-Bosnian Chrysostom, and the interlocutors stressed that cooperation between churches and religious communities and the state must be developed continuously with mutual support and appreciation.
Metropolitan Dabro-Bosnian Chrysostom informed Izetbegović about the current situation regarding the return of property to the Serbian Orthodox Church, with special emphasis on the building of the former seminary in Sarajevo.
Izetbegović pointed out that it is necessary to adopt the necessary decisions and legislation that will enable the return of confiscated property to all religious communities in BiH, and that he, as president of the Party of Democratic Action and a member of the House of Peoples, will support the adoption of the necessary law which would regulate the status rights of religious officials in the religious communities of BiH, it is stated in the announcement from the Cabinet of the Deputy Speaker of the House of Peoples of the PABiH.
