BOSANSKO GRAHOVO, July 3 (FENA) - Residents of Bosansko Grahovo on Thursday blocked the main road connecting the municipality with Drvar and Livno for two hours.
According to municipal mayor Milorad Gligić, locals blocked the road due to information that three trucks carrying unknown waste were unloaded near the former Borac factory in Bosansko Grahovo and that part of the waste ended up at a local landfill.
Mayor Gligić told FENA that, according to the information he received from the people who were at the scene, the waste is comprised of 200 tons of textiles brought in from Italy.
“The municipal authorities were not informed about it at all, and after learning about this, I informed the competent cantonal institutions. I have information that the Ministry of the Interior of the Canton 10 is conducting an investigation into this event and that certain investigations have been undertaken against the co-owners of the facility of the former Borac factory where the waste has been unloaded,” said the mayor.
