BANJA LUKA, July 5 (FENA) - Draško Stanivuković will be a candidate of the Party of Democratic Progress (PDP) for the mayor of Banja Luka, it was confirmed at today's press conference.
Jelena Trivić is the holder of the party’s list for the Banja Luka city assembly.
The PDP President Branislav Borenović said that Banja Luka needs to bring together all sincere forces, "in order for the city to be returned to its people".
“Banja Luka is facing big problems, and they all come down to one - we have become a society of injustice. People are bitter because of the fact that there is a privileged minority,” said Borenović and added that the PDP believes that the political space must be given to young and energetic people, and "thus restore hope to the people so that we can have a fairer and more just society."
The main opponent of Stanivuković is the incumbent mayor Igor Radojičić from the SNSD.
