BANJA LUKA, July 6 (FENA) - The Bosniak caucus in the Council of Peoples of the entity of Republika Srpska strongly condemns the repression conducted by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the RS against the citizens for publicly displaying the flag of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
“It is a deliberate hoax of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the RS that this is a ‘war flag’ of the glorious Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the sanctioning of citizens is nothing else but misuse of the police force and to show that only that which carries the prefix ‘Serb’" is allowed on the territory of the smaller entity in Bosnia and Herzegovina,” it is said in the statement.
Although this is not, in fact, the flag of the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina, but the former flag of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina, they are proud, they add, of the fact that there were no systemic and organized war crimes committed under the flag with the lilies.
The Bosniak caucus states that "at the same time, terrible war crimes had been committed under some other flags, including the crime of genocide."
“It is unacceptable to punish citizens for displaying the once official flag of the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina, while posters and murals with the images of convicted war criminals are displayed throughout the entity of Republika Srpska,” reads the statement of the Bosniak caucus in the RS Council of Peoples, signed by President Alija Tabaković.
