Digital exhibition 'Personal belongings of Srebrenica genocide victims' opens

SREBRENICA, July 9 (FENA) - Srebrenica-Potočari Memorial Center presented today digital exhibition "Personal Belongings of Srebrenica Genocide Victims", thus concluding the first phase of a long-term project to establish a museum collection of personal items.

“We decided to bring our work on the search for personal items closer with this digital exhibition. First of all, I would like to thank Azir Osmanović, Ahmo Mehmedović and Redžep Ustić for realizing this digital exhibition, but also whole team that went on the field and visited the route of the Death March, as well as communicated with families. I hope that we have justified the trust of people, and that this is just the beginning,” said Director of the Memorial Center Srebrenica - Potočari Emir Suljagić.

Srebrenica - Potočari Memorial Center is the first institution in BiH to launch virtual tours during the Covid-19 pandemic, conducting more than 40 online educational sessions with universities and academic institutions around the world in the last four months, and their numerous projects were seen by more than a million people through online social media campaigns.
