Council of Ministers of BiH passes decision to accept assistance from UAE

SARAJEVO, July 14 (FENA) - The Council of Ministers of BiH today passed a Decision on accepting the assistance from the United Arab Emirates to Bosnia and Herzegovina.

According to the Decision, the aid consists of 100 thousand swabs, 25 thousand protective suits, 40 ventilators, 152 thousand gloves, 150 thousand N95 masks, surgical and face masks, as well as 50 thousand visors and 20.400 protective glasses.

The Ministry of Civil Affairs will, in accordance with the Law on Medicines and Medical Devices and the Instruction on Procedures for Import of Medicines and Medical Devices of Humanitarian Character for Areas Endangered by Natural or Other Disasters, request decisions on consent / approval for import and use of medicines and medical devices of a humanitarian nature in Bosnia and Herzegovina from the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare of the Republika Srpska, the FBiH Ministry of Health and the Department of Health and Other Services of the Government of the Brčko District of BiH.

The Ministry of Civil Affairs will distribute funds in accordance with previously adopted percentages - 61.5 percent for the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, 37.5 percent for the Republika Srpska, one percent for the Brčko District of BiH. The aid for the FBiH will be distributed equally to the Federation of BiH and 10 cantons, 50 percent each.
