ZENICA, July 21 (FENA) - The miners of the Zenica Brown Coal Mines Subsidiary have just been paid their June salaries, but they were left without management because director Edin Pašić and his associates resigned irrevocably, the Union President Nijaz Vardo said.
Director Pašić, then technical director Fahrudin Kokić and executive director for finances Dragan Peranović resigned irrevocably.
“The management resigned at the request of the workers, who demanded it at the assembly on Saturday, when they returned to work after a three-day work stoppage. The Union did not request the resignation of the Management. At that meeting, the miners demanded, in addition to the resignation of the Management, that the new management, which should soon be appointed by the ruling company Elektroprivreda BiH, start correcting the Rulebook on salaries,” Vardo pointed out.
Director Edin Pašić also confirmed that they had submitted an irrevocable resignation, but did not want to further explain the reasons for his resignation.
