Member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Milorad Dodik claims that "it is impossible to talk about the possible secession of Kosovo without discussing the status of the RS with regards to Bosnia and Herzegovina."
He stated that “if Kosovo is to remain in Serbia, then the RS remains in the ‘Dayton BiH’, while Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić responded to this by saying he would respond to this issue to Dodik and the RS President Cvijanovic in the coming period, that Serbia's policy has not changed, but that it will "responsibly and seriously and answer those questions."
“We believe that Kosovo cannot be an internationally recognized state in the way that some countries in the world accept it to be. The RS should also be entitled to the same treatment because the circumstances in which this issue is being resolved are almost identical. We saw that Vučić took the question seriously, but he did not answer anything. We will try to convince him that this issue should be treated simultaneously. The RS will not accept any recognition of Kosovo. The RS remains committed to its brotherly existence with Serbia,” stated, among other things, Dodik.
After the meeting with Vučić, Dodik also stated that "the RS lives in the hope that someday, it will become one with Serbia".
He reiterated that the Serb people "are enduring their existence within BiH only because they have to, but the RS has got nothing from BiH..."
