SARAJEVO, July 24 (FENA) - The latest evoking of the institute of the protection of entity interest, as determined by the Constitution of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and not the so-called protection of vital national interest, as some refer to it, once again shows the absurdity of Milorad Dodik's actions, as well as the absurdity of constitutional provisions that are not precise enough and thus allow for such behavior.
After Milorad Dodik, about a year ago, initiated the procedure of determining that certain issues linked to the territory of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina are harmful to the interests of another BiH entity of Republika Srpska, with which the issue had nothing to do, and then that the visit of the Montenegrin President Milo Đukanović to Bosnia and Herzegovina, was allegedly harmful to the interests of the Republika Srpska, now with this new initiation of the procedure of determining that three more issues are allegedly harmful to the vital entity interest (VEI), he has thus surpassed himself, showing the complete absurdity of his moves.
The issue of the Memorandum on the Exchange of Travel Information with the United States, which is part of the fight against terrorism and organized crime, so that it can be known in real time whether there are people involved in such activities among passengers and thus take timely action against such persons, is in the best interest of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as much as it is in the interest of the United States.
If Dodik wants to quarrel with the United States, let him do it alone, without the interference of the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina or hiding behind one of its entities.
The same goes for him having a problem with PISA and PIRLSA projects, in which a special type of testing seeks to see the level of general and specific knowledge of our elementary and high school students, where Dodik wants to choose himself which of the students will be tested and to show separate results in an attempt to manipulate a higher degree of their knowledge than the actual one, stated the Presidency of BiH.
