Osmanović: We have prevented an attempt to leave the citizens without elections

SARAJEVO, July 27 (FENA) - Chairman of the SDA caucus in the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Adil Osmanović, said that the opposition's attempt to deprive BiH citizens of their right to democracy was disputed after the harmonized Bill on the state budget was adopted today.

“The most important thing is that the House of Representatives supported the report of the Committee and thus supported the budget for 2020, and holding of the local elections,” said Osmanović.

He pointed out that in the Committee, as representatives of the SDA, they proposed that none of the amendments adopted by both houses of Parliament be adopted.

“The second compromise proposal was for both of MP Emrić's amendments to be adopted. Emrić's amendment, of 450,000 KM, is in the budget reserve and will be implemented towards the institutions of the Una-Sana Canton. We did everything so that the amendment containing the funds for expenditures of 750,000 KM, would not be adopted,” Osmanović pointed out.

He pointed out that they assessed that it was better for the budget to be adopted than for the state to be left without a budget.

He reiterated that the members of the Collegium from the SDA do not plan to spend those funds.
