SARAJEVO, August 6 (FENA) - In Bosnia and Herzegovina in June 2020, there were 26.542 tourists, which is 552.7 percent more than in May 2020 and 85.2 percent less than in June 2019.
In June last year, 179.103 tourists stayed in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Tourists realized 55.051 overnight stays in June, which is 301.5 percent more than in May 2020 and 84.3 percent less than in June 2019. The share of domestic tourists in the total number of overnight stays was 75.5 percent, while the share of foreign tourists was 24.5 percent.
The number of overnight stays of domestic tourists in June was higher by 245.3 percent compared to May 2020 and lower by 60.3 percent compared to June 2019. The number of overnight stays of foreign tourists in June was higher by 706.6 percent compared to May 2020 and 94.5 percent lower compared to June 2019.
In Bosnia and Herzegovina in June last year, tourists realized 349.594 overnight stays.
In the structure of overnight stays of foreign tourists in June 2020, most overnight stays were realized by tourists from: Serbia (46.1 percent), Croatia (21.3 percent), Germany (4.4 percent), Montenegro (3.8 percent), Slovenia (3.0 percent), Hungary (2.5 percent) and Saudi Arabia (2.3 percent). Tourists from other countries accounted for 16.6 percent of overnight stays.
According to the type of accommodation facility, the largest number of overnight stays was realized in hotels and similar accommodation with a share of 86.9 percent.
