SARAJEVO, August 7 (FENA) - Minister of Communications and Transport of Bosnia and Herzegovina Vojin Mitrović visited today the location where a new bridge and border crossing in Rača between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Serbia will be built.
The deadline for the completion of works on the bridge and the motorway section towards Bijeljina, 17 kilometers long, is until 2022.
Minister Mitrović said that in addition to the Rača border crossing, a new Svilaj border crossing is under construction, whose deadline for the completion is March 1, 2021.
The opening of the temporary border crossing in Svilaj for the crossing of passengers and vehicles would avoid additional costs for the protection, guarding and maintenance of the bridge itself, and thus prevent the illegal crossing of the border.
The construction of the border crossing on the bridge in Bratunac should be completed before the deadline, while the construction of Corridor Vc is taking place under the set dynamic, the Ministry of Communications and Transport of BiH stated.
