SARAJEVO, November 21 (FENA) - FBiH Minister of Labor and Social Policy Vesko Drljača confirmed for FENA that the Law on Parents Caregivers is in force in the Federation of BiH, and its implementation will begin on December 30.
“This means that one of the parents of persons with disabilities will be recognized the right to the status of a parent caregiver and provide them with a monthly allowance in the amount of 406 KM (the lowest net salary in FBiH), as well as with related contributions for pension, disability, health insurance and unemployment insurance,” said Drljača.
He says that it is prescribed that the status of a parent caregiver is recognized to the parent of a person with a disability if he/she is unemployed and registered with the competent employment service until he/she is 65 years old, regardless of the child's age.
