SARAJEVO, January 24 (FENA) - Assistant FBiH Minister of Health Goran Čerkez announced today that the Crisis Staff of the FBiH Ministry of Health will meet tomorrow and consider the possibility of reducing the isolation of people who tested positive for coronavirus.

“It is certain that we will discuss the period of five or seven days. We'll see how much more can be done here. The recommendations are to be tested with antigen tests in order for people to wait as little as possible and to be more efficient, because certainly with this amount of PCR tests, it is difficult to have that continuity to solve everything in 24 hours,” said Čerkez.

He stated that the number of infected people is growing.

“A high proportion of positives among those tested is evident. More than 45 percent test positive, which means that these figures we have are significantly higher. In general, two cantons are testing a lot, namely Sarajevo and Herzegovina-Neretva Canton,” said Čerkez.

He underlined that it is to be expected that we will have some growth in a few more days.

“There is also one more risk ahead of us. It is the return of children to school, but we are optimistic that the number of infections will start descending next month and that the situation will stabilize,” said Čerkez.
