SARAJEVO, February 10 (FENA) - President of the Alliance for a Better Future (SBB) BiH Fahrudin Radončić told reporters before a meeting on changes to the BiH Election Law in Sarajevo today that the SDA and the HDZ BiH have been negotiating unsuccessfully for five or six years an that the international mediators and the SDA have asked that the pro-Bosnian parties NiP, SBB BiH and NES be included in the negotiations.
"We have joined at their request," he added.
Radončić says that they are faced with two or three maximalist requests.
"The Croat political representatives have maximalist demands in the sense that they secure for themselves 100 percent chance of having their member of the BiH Presidency, not to say that it has to be from the HDZ BiH. You also have our demands, some of them, regarding the reduction of the competencies of the Houses of Peoples. We also have probably sincere wishes from the SDA not to change the Election Law or the CEC BiH, so that the elections are conducted as before, with many shortcomings and open paths for election theft and thus, the guarantees that Bakir Izetbegović will be the next member of the Presidency. We also have Željko Komšić who is not even thinking about the fact that maybe it is about time he leaves the position. This is a situation in which we continue our negotiations today," said Radončić.
He added that SBB BiH has on its mind "the state, the interests of BiH, the Bosniaks and all three peoples".
