MOSTAR, February 16 (FENA) - In a news broadcast on FENA's service entitled "UNDP allocates 13 million KM for civil society projects", several erroneous information was published by unintentional mistake.

The value of the project is not 13 million KM, but 13 million euros. Also, the European Union is the donor of this project, and the implementer is the United Nations Development Program (UNDP).

We kindly ask our users to use the corrected version of the news that we broadcast in full:

PROZOR-RAMA, February 16 (FENA) - A public debate on the "ReLOaD2" project was held in the Prozor-Rama Municipality on Tuesday for representatives of civil society organizations and interested individuals.

The total value of the project, funded by the European Union and implemented by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in the Western Balkans, is 13 million euros, and the value of individual projects will have budgets in the range of 10,000 and 70,000 KM.

Five main areas with related points were presented at the public discussion, namely: youth, sports, social policy, culture and environmental protection, and rural development.

“Prozor-Rama Municipality is one of a total of 13 municipalities participating in this phase of the project. This is a regional project being implemented from Bosnia and Herzegovina to the Balkan countries. It is something we are proud of, because it is a domestic 'Herzegovinian' product. What we advocate, apart from working with civil society organizations, is another segment of work, and that is working with local governments. What we want to see is that the municipalities in which we work have a transparent approach to allocating funds intended for civil society organizations," said Damir Žarak from the UNDP.

As part of the project, an "Open Day" will be organized where project forms will be presented, and after that a free two-day training cycle project management training will be organized for all interested parties, the UNDP said.

The countries implementing this project, which aims to strengthen participatory democracy and EU integration in the Western Balkans, are Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Kosovo, North Macedonia and Serbia.
