SARAJEVO, March 3 (FENA) - Saudi airline Flynas has maintained direct flights between Sarajevo and the Saudi cities of Riyadh and Jeddah over the past tourism season. However, for the first time, it has managed to maintain direct flights outside the season, that is during the winter.
Now, the company is announcing an increase in the number of direct flights, and the Ambassador of BiH to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Muhamed Jusić, hopes for another successful tourism season for our country.
In a statement to FENA, Bandar Al-Mohanna, CEO of Flynas, said that the company has started a network of flights to the Balkans with Bosnia and Herzegovina.
"Bosnia and Herzegovina still has a special place in our development plans. We started flights to Bosnia and Herzegovina in 2019, and in addition to the pandemic, we doubled the number of flights in 2021.
Last year, we decided to have flights throughout the year, and I am pleased to say that this was a good decision. This year we are planning a larger number of direct flights to Bosnia and Herzegovina compared to the previous one. We also a plan to introduce special additional flights during the holy month of Ramadan. Finally, we are considering the possibility of establishing flights to some other destinations in BiH besides Sarajevo," Al-Mohanna pointed out.
Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Muhamed Jusić pointed out for FENA that the great interest of the citizens of Saudi Arabia in Bosnia and Herzegovina indicates that we could have another successful tourism season, but that additional effort will have to be made this year to ensure the smooth and prompt issuing of visas for Saudi citizens.
