SARAJEVO, March 9 (FENA) - The Independent Trade Union of Civil Servants and Employees in the Institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina will hold protests on BiH Square tomorrow due to, among other things, a long-term process of collapsing state institutions.

As one of the reasons, they state the non-signing of the collective agreement which puts the employees in the institutions at the state level in a very uncertain legal position, as well as the non-adoption of the budget for 2022.

- Basics for calculating the salary which amounts to 475.69 KM which has not changed in the last 12 years and which endangers the survival of employees in BiH institutions, because the worker who cleans the minister's office has a basic salary of 475.69 KM, and the minister ten of their salaries 4,750 KM - according to the Union.

They also claim that employees in state institutions at lower levels of government have 25 to 35 percent higher salaries for the same work they perform compared to employees in state-level institutions.

- The long-term policy of the ruling parties (DF, SDA, HDZ and SNSD) of collapsing state institutions has put employees in a situation where they have not been able to feed their families for a long time with their personal income. They have the right to work, they are employed, but they cannot survive on their salary - they said.

The Trade Union said that one of the reasons for the protest gathering was the enormous income of representatives in the Parliamentary Assembly, from 6,000 KM to 9,000 KM per month.
