SARAJEVO, April 7 (FENA) - FBiH Minister of Labor and Social Policy Vesko Drljača said that the Government of the Federation of BiH at today's session gave its consent to the FBiH Pension Fund to adjust the value of the general coefficient for this year in the amount of 4.8 percent.
“This means that persons who are entitled to a pension this year will have a value of general coefficient of 16.35 KM. This should not be confused with regular and extraordinary pension increases for existing retirees. Therefore, this is an adjustment of the value of the general coefficient for new retirees and this adjustment is done in accordance with Article 78 of the Law on Pension and Disability Insurance. The value of the general coefficient is determined on the basis of data from the FBiH Bureau of Statistics, and according to the increase in the average gross salary in the Federation of BiH for last year,” said Drljača.
He underlined that regular and extraordinary adjustment of pensions is done according to the provisions of the Law on Amendments to the Law on Pension and Disability Insurance, which were recently adopted by both houses of the Parliament of the Federation of BiH.
“We expect that regular and extraordinary harmonization this year will be in the amount of more than 10 percent,” Drljača pointed out.
