SARAJEVO, April 12 (FENA) - The House of Peoples of the Parliament of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina adopted at an extraordinary session the Bill on Amendments to the Law on Early Retirement of Veterans of the Liberation War, proposed by MP Jasmin Duvnjak.
This Bill is one of a set of veterans' laws that are on today's agenda of the House of Peoples, and its essence is harmonization, i.e. rise of pensions of beneficiaries treated in the manner prescribed for other pensioners in the FBiH by the current Law on Pension and Disability Insurance (PIO).
Namely, so far the growth of pensions of prematurely retired veterans is projected according to the consumer price index in the FBiH, and now, as with other pensioners, the adjustment will be done every year on April 15 based on the sum of 50 percent growth of consumer price index plus 50 percent growth of the gross domestic product.
After this item on the agenda, the session of the House of Peoples continued with the topics from the set of veterans' laws.
