SARAJEVO, May 17 (FENA) - Our Party's MP in the BiH Parliamentary Assembly Damir Arnaut believes that today's decision by the BiH Council of Ministers not to approve the funds for the elections is "undoubtedly an expression of the HDZ's aspirations to block and obstruct democratic processes until they get changes to the Election Law in accordance to their own liking."
"Until now, they stole the votes, and now they are trying to steal our right to vote. This is unacceptable. The OHR has the authority to impose this decision, and we call on them to remove Dragan Čović from the position of chairman of the House of Peoples of the BiH Parliament. It is generally known that the HDZ ministers and deputies are not allowed to adopt even the minutes without his order, and there is no doubt that Čović is the direct mastermind of this blockade," says Arnaut.
According to him, this is a dangerous act and it is a blow to the BiH Constitution and an open violation of the BiH Election Law.
"We also call on the CEC BiH to initiate proceedings before the competent Prosecutor's Office in order to determine responsibility and sanction those responsible for obstructing the elections immediately after the expiration of the legal deadline on Thursday," stated Our Party.
