SARAJEVO, June 3 (FENA) - The third session of the Regional Committee of the International Council on Large Electrical Systems (SEERC-CIGRE), which includes countries from the wider region of Southeast Europe, ended yesterday with a visit to the laboratory for direct transmission at the Austrian Institute of Technology in Vienna.
The BiH delegation led by the president of the CIGRE Committee in BiH, Edhem Bičakčić, submitted a comprehensive report on the activities in the previous period at the session in which the representatives of the national committees of Ukraine, Greece and Turkey did the same, FENA learns from CIGRE BH.
The representative of Ukraine presented data indicating that the country is facing an extremely difficult energy situation.
In a statement to FENA, Bičakčić said that the committee headed by him focused on young professionals and qualified staff in all areas, especially women who are the backbone of its work and activities.
At the session in Vienna, the chairmanship of SEERC was entrusted to Turkey, and from October 2023, Bosnia and Herzegovina will take over the chairmanship.
