LIVNO, June 24 (FENA) - During today's visit to Canton 10, the Prime Minister of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Fadil Novalić, told reporters that the FBiH Government sympathizes with the main problem in the area - the outflow of population.
He added that he believes that it is unnecessary for the population to leave that canton, given that it has great tourist, agricultural, water, and industrial potential.
Novalić stated that the FBiH Government, among other things, financially supported capital projects for the completion of works on the sports hall in Kupres, water supply infrastructure in Livno and Bosanski Grahovo, reconstruction of the police station, and construction of a sports hall in Glamoč, and wastewater treatment in Tomislavgrad.
He added that the advantage of Canton 10 is that many successful entrepreneurs and athletes from that area intend to invest there, which the FBiH Government is ready to support.
- We have a greater sensitivity towards cantons that have a small number of inhabitants and bigger problems because it is precisely because of the smaller number of inhabitants that it is more difficult to maintain certain institutions - Novalić pointed out.
Novalić is in the area of this canton for the third time in the last two years.
The FBiH government is in talks with lower levels of government to provide assistance in projects in which the Federation of BiH, cantons, cities, and municipalities can work together to create better living conditions for all citizens and improve the services provided by lower levels of government to citizens.
Three days ago, for the third year in a row, money was paid to the cantons for structural reforms and projects of importance to the FBiH.
700,000 KM was given from the FBiH budget to help health care in Canton 10. In addition, according to the Law on Financial Consolidation and Restructuring of Public Health Institutions in FBiH, which was adopted by the FBiH Parliament this year at the proposal of the Government, in the next three years for the Cantonal Hospital "Dr. Mihovil Sučić ”in Livno provides 6 million KM from the FBiH budget.
One million KM has been set aside for craftsmen operating in this canton.
For the economy, according to the so-called. 'crown law' and regulations to help vulnerable sectors of the economy (export-oriented industry, agriculture, tourism, transport) allocated 4 million KM.
Therefore, the total assistance to Canton 10 from the budget of the Federation of BiH in 2020, 2021, and in the current year, not counting the money from regular transfers from the department, amounts to about 34 million KM.
