POSUŠJE, July 27 (FENA) – The situation on Mount Čvrsnica in the Blidnje Nature Park is better this morning than in the past few days, Drago Martinović, Director of the Civil Protection Administration of the West Herzegovina Canton, confirmed for FENA.
“Even last night, the firefighters had a lot of work because as soon as the wind blows, the fire flares up, but this morning the situation is much better than the past few days,” Martinović said, adding that they are hoping for rain today.
According to him, the possibility of air assistance is being considered.
Currently, only firefighters are on the ground, and weekend settlements are not threatened.
It is also reminded that helicopters of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Croatia participated in the extinguishing yesterday.
