Minister Podžić receives the newly appointed military attaché of the Republic of France

SARAJEVO, September 20 (FENA) - The Minister of Defense of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Sifet Podžić, today received the newly appointed military attaché of the Republic of France, Brigadier Pierre Desjeux, in an inaugural visit.

The military attaché of the Republic of France to Bosnia and Herzegovina is a non-resident diplomat, and is permanently stationed at the Embassy of the Republic of France in the Republic of Serbia.

The meeting was also attended by the head of the office of the Minister of Defense of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kemal Korjenić, and the military consultant at the Embassy of the Republic of France in Bosnia and Herzegovina, a French colonel Ljiljana Bjelić.

The meeting focused on military cooperation between Bosnia and Herzegovina and France, which mostly refers to the education and training of members of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina in France, cooperation in the work of the Training Center for Peace Support Operations (PSOTC) in Butmir and the School of Foreign Languages of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Rajlovac.

The two sides also discussed the current security situation in Europe and expressed mutual support for the continuation of the EUFOR mission in Bosnia and Herzegovina, said the Ministry of Defense of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
