Decision on the appointment of chief prosecutor of BiH Prosecutor's Office in focus of HJPC session

The item related to the appointment/filling of that position has been included in the agenda of the second day of the session, HJPC confirmed for FENA. 

Since the competent Subcouncil proposed that the competition for the election of the Chief Prosecutor of the Prosecutor's Office of BiH is repeated and that the candidate for the position of chief Prosecutor, Diana Kajmaković, has been included in the American "black list" in the meantime, it is uncertain what position the members of the HJPC will take in this regard.

In any case, these issues will be discussed at the session and an appropriate decision will be made in that context.

Candidates Milanko Kajganić, Diana Kajmaković, Miroslav Janjić and Seid Marušić attended the interview for the position of the chief prosecutor of the BiH Prosecutor's Office.

As planned, at the session of the HJPC, the Report of the Ad Hoc Inquiry Commission of the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly for Judicial Institutions, and the Draft Law on Amendments to the Law on the HJPC of BiH will be considered.

According to the established practice, the members of the Council should express themselves in connection with the decisions on appointments, as well as the termination and extension of mandates for a certain number of holders of judicial functions in BiH.
