SARAJEVO, October 10 (FENA) - Chairman of the BiH Presidency, Šefik Džaferović, received credentials from the newly appointed Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to BiH, Thomas Fitschen.
Ambassador Fitschen expressed his satisfaction that he has the opportunity to be the resident ambassador of his country in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The officials pointed out that relations between Bosnia and Herzegovina and FR Germany are extremely good and friendly.
On this occasion, the Chairman of the BiH Presidency, Šefik Džaferović, thanked the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany for its continued support for BiH's European path and positive reforms.
They also discussed the role of Germany in the efforts of the international community in BiH, about Germany's involvement in the Peace Implementation Council (PIC), and other bodies of the international community in BiH.
It was pointed out that BiH's path should be in Euro-Atlantic integration, building a stable and prosperous society, as opposed to divisive moves, especially on the ethnic level.
Chairman Džaferović wished the newly appointed ambassador a successful diplomatic mission in Bosnia and Herzegovina and expressed his belief that overall bilateral relations will strengthen even more during this term, the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina announced.
