SARAJEVO, December 20 (FENA) – The European Movement in Bosnia and Herzegovina today awarded the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina with the "Medal of the Citizens and Peoples of Bosnia and Herzegovina" for their contribution to the development and strengthening of social relations in the country from 2014 to 2022.
“I would like to thank the European Movement for recognizing the efforts of the FBiH Government, which, despite all the challenges in the past eight years, managed to preserve the socio-economic stability of the Federation of BiH, increase the number of jobs, the amount of minimum pensions, the amount of veterans' benefits, and through other categories ensure the stability of the functioning of institutions and public companies in the Federation,” FBiH Prime Minister Fadil Novalić.
They said that the FBiH Government is aware that there is no alternative for BiH other than full membership in the European Union.
After presenting the Medal to the FBiH Prime Minister, the president of the European Movement in BiH, Predrag Praštalo, presented the plaques to the Deputy Prime Ministers of FBiH, Jelka Milićević and Vesko Drljača.
On that occasion, Praštalo expressed his gratitude to the Government for helping the most vulnerable categories of the population, especially pensioners.
“We are sure that the Government will continue to support pensioners. Also, it was important to save people's jobs. During the pandemic, the Government was so well organized thanks to the professionalism of Novalić, Milićević and Drljača. Entrepreneurs were in a difficult situation, and the Government supported the economic sector extremely well. Without the support that was provided, the economy of Bosnia and Herzegovina would hardly have been saved,” Praštalo emphasized.
