SARAJEVO, January 16 (FENA) - Member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Denis Bećirović, will meet today in Brussels with the Secretary General of NATO, Jens Stoltenberg.
Bećirović is a great supporter of NATO integration of BiH since he has previously emphasized that it is an alliance that can provide security to BiH in challenging times, stressing that it is necessary to work on the implementation of the BiH Reform Program to admit Bosnia and Herzegovina to full membership.
He confirmed on several occasions his firm commitment to intensifying the NATO integration process by the Constitution and the Defense Law of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
“Geopolitical events, including the consequences of Russian aggression against Ukraine, have a direct impact on the security and political situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, which is why the continuation of the consistent process of Euro-Atlantic integration is of great importance,” Bećirović pointed out earlier.
The NATO headquarters said no media statements were planned after the meeting.
