MOSTAR, February 5 (FENA) – The Croat People's Assembly (HNS) of Bosnia and Herzegovina ended its session yesterday with the re-election of Dragan Čović as the president of the umbrella organization of the Croat people in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
After the session, the re-elected president of HNS BiH addressed the journalists and commented on all the decisions that were voted on yesterday.
“I am glad that we adopted important documents at the session today, changed the statute in one technical part, adopted the demographic strategy and the Rulebook on awards and recognitions of the HNS, and what is particularly important is that Declaration of the 11th Assembly was adopted,” said Čović.
He also noted that the HNS BiH again showed strength and unity at this session.
The HNS BiH adopted the document Demographic Strategy of Croats in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
“We made a demographic strategy for the Croat people, but it is pointless to observe demography through only one nation, and I believe this strategy can be the basis for others in BiH as well. We have to transfer it to all institutions, and then it would all make sense, and this is the proposal as we see it. I hope that with our partners we will change all this because otherwise, this will be just another attempt to do something. We are already implementing a significant part of the measures from this strategy in practice where HNS operates, that is in 23 municipalities and cities and five canton areas,” he said.
