BiH PA HoP constituted today, Špirić elected as Speaker, Ademović and Čović as Deputy Speakers

SARAJEVO, February 16 (FENA) - The Speaker of the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly (BiH PA) in the new convocation is Nikola Špirić (SNSD) from the ranks of the Serb people, the first Deputy Speaker is Kemal Ademović (NiP) from the Bosniak people, and the second Deputy Speaker is Dragan Čović (HDZ BiH ) from the ranks of the Croat people.

This was decided at today's constituent session of this House.

Špirić was the only candidate for the Speaker of the House from among the Serb people, and nine delegates voted "for" his election, three were against and three abstained.

For the first Deputy Speaker of the House from the Bosniak people, the candidates were Šefik Džaferović (SDA), who was nominated by the Bosniak People’s Caucus, and Kemal Ademović (NiP), who nominated himself.

Ademović was elected with nine votes "for", three against and three abstentions.

Džaferović received three votes "for", eight against and four abstentions.
