SARAJEVO, March 7 (FENA) - Member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Denis Bećirović received the Chief of the Joint Staff of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Colonel General Senad Mašović, with whom he discussed the most important current events in the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as the key challenges facing the defense system of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
General Mašović informed Bećirović about the level of implementation of activities from the BiH Reform Program, and the execution of other tasks of the Armed Forces of BiH, defined by the Law on Defense of BiH, including training and exercises, which are extremely important for maintaining a high degree of interoperability of the Armed Forces of BiH with the standards of NATO countries.
Bećirović expressed particular satisfaction with the contribution of members of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the humanitarian mission to eliminate the consequences of the catastrophic earthquake in Turkey.
The interlocutors agreed on the importance of sufficient allocation for defense, as well as the implementation of the modernization and development plan of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
During the conversation, the member of the BiH Presidency, Denis Bećirović, confirmed the contribution of the Armed Forces of BiH as one of the key segments of the security system of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as part of the continuation of the Euro-Atlantic integration processes of Bosnia and Herzegovina, announced the Public Relations Service of the BiH Presidency.
