ZENICA, March 20 (FENA) – The Municipality of Tešanj will pay a donation of 100,000 KM this week to help the people of Turkey and Syria, which were hit by a devastating earthquake at the beginning of February, Tešanj Mayor Suad Huskić told FENA.
The payment of this donation, notes Huskić, was ensured by the first revision of the budget for 2023, which was adopted by the Tešanj Municipal Council on Friday, March 17.
“We did the budget revision only for the payment of this donation, that is, support for the people of Turkey and Syria because we did not have this item during the preparation and adoption of the budget, as the earthquake happened later.
This year's Tešanj budget was adopted in the amount of 25,131,000 KM.
The Government of the Zenica-Doboj Canton also approved the aid of 100,000 KM to the people of Turkey and Syria last month.
