SARAJEVO, May 16 (FENA) - Chairperson of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Borjana Krišto, spoke today in Sarajevo with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Belgium, Hadja Lahbib, about the European integration of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
During the meeting, the officials noted that bilateral relations are good and without open issues, which represents a good basis for further strengthening of cooperation in all areas, especially economic cooperation.
Krišto informed Minister Lahbib about the current political situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, with special reference to the process of government formation at all levels.
She emphasized BiH's firm commitment to the European path and the acceleration of reform and integration processes.
She also pointed out that the key prerequisites for the achievement of internal stability and the continuation of reforms are limited constitutional reforms and a comprehensive amendment of the Election Law of BiH in accordance with the Decision of the Constitutional Court of BiH on the legitimate representation of the constituent peoples in the Presidency of BiH and the houses of the peoples.
She said that this visit by Minister Lahbib is very important for strengthening political relations, and that the reopening of the Embassy of Belgium in Bosnia and Herzegovina will contribute to improving relations and intensifying cooperation in the context of EU integration, as well as economic cooperation, the Council of Ministers of BiH announced.
