SARAJEVO, May 25 (FENA) - The Minister of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina Nenad Nešić and the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Sweden to Bosnia and Herzegovina Johanna Stromquist today discussed strengthening relations between the two countries and improving cooperation in the field of security.
The two officials established that there are traditionally good ties between the two countries that should be continued due to the large number of citizens originally from Bosnia and Herzegovina who live and work in Sweden.
The cooperation of police agencies in combating organized crime, which is implemented through the Agreement on Police Cooperation between BiH and Sweden, was positively evaluated.
Minister Nešić pointed out that the main priority for the Ministry of Security is the adoption of European standards and the fulfillment of the conditions that BiH has as a candidate country for EU membership.
In that segment, they discussed future cooperation and joint projects of the Ministry of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Embassy of Sweden, which can speed up the fulfillment of these priorities and set goals, stated the ministry.
