SARAJEVO, June 1 (FENA) - The Chief Prosecutor of the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Milanko Kajganić, met with the leaders of the Association of BiH Journalists - Borko Rudić, Marko Divković and Fuad Kovačević, who presented the Chief Prosecutor with a list of data they had collected on journalists and media workers, a total of 80 of them, who were killed or died during the war in BiH from 1992 to 1995.

Given that the Special Department for War Crimes processes cases of war crimes and violations of international humanitarian law, this list of data was handed over to the BiH Prosecutor's Office as input information, which can be useful in the work on war crimes cases handled by the BiH Prosecutor's Office.

For some deaths of journalists, available data and information have been collected, while for some murders and deaths, there is almost no available information, so the association will continue to collect information and evidence, which it will hand over to law enforcement agencies.

The chief prosecutor thanked the representatives of the BH Journalists Association for their cooperation and assistance to law enforcement agencies and institutions because all information about events from the war period is useful material for working on war crimes cases.

Also, the representatives of the Association were informed that the Prosecutor's Office of BiH recently designated the prosecutor as a contact point in the Prosecutor's Office of BiH for the safety of journalists, who will be the contact person for communication and coordination with journalist associations and law enforcement agencies, which work on detection and criminal prosecution of perpetrators of criminal acts, committed to the detriment of persons holding jobs of public importance in the field of information, announced the BiH Prosecutor's Office.
