SARAJEVO, July 18 (FENA) - The 'Scars' exhibition by the British photographer Paul Lowe was opened today in the Tunel D-B Memorial Complex as part of the "Defense of Bosnia and Herzegovina - Igman 2023" event, announced the Memorial Fund of the Sarajevo Canton.

The exhibition "Scars", which thematizes the period of the siege of Sarajevo through photographs of destroyed and damaged architecture, consists of seven large-scale panoramas and ten square-format landscape images of the destruction of the siege of Sarajevo from 1992-1995.

At the opening of the exhibition, the author of photographs, Paul Lowe, said that the Tunnel of Hope, after the BiH Historical Museum and the Memorial Center in Potočari, is the third location where his exhibition has been set up, where it will remain permanently.

Photographs are made in large dimensions to better depict reality.

Director of MESS Festival, Nihad Kreševljaković, reminded that the exhibition "Scars" by Lowe was originally set up as part of the MESS Festival in 2021 when the author was awarded the highest award for his contribution to the preservation of the culture of memory.
