SARAJEVO, January 3 (FENA) - There have not been any evacuation requests by citizens of BiH who are in Iran nor have citizens turned to the BiH Embassy in Tehran for security problems, Head of the PR Office of the Foreign Ministry of BiH Nebojša Regoje told FENA.
Protests in Iran, which have been going on for days, started because of a difficult economic situation, high cost of living, unemployment and politics the official Tehran is running in the Middle East. However they became political because of the call for the supreme religious leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei to step down.
These are the largest protests against the government since 2009.
More than 450 protesters have been arrested in Tehran over the past few days and hundreds across the state. Some of them are facing death penalty.
