BRCKO, Jan 10 (FENA) - The number of the unemployed people registered by the Employment Bureau of Brcko District at the end of 2017 was 11,021, which is lower by 888 compared to 2016.
"We hold that the main reason for this reduction is primarily the fact that a certain number of unemployed persons left the countr, but also an increase in the number of employed persons," said Director of the Employment Bureau of Brcko District, Vlado Jevtic.
He pointed out that the activities of the Brcko Employment Bureau in this year would be aimed at further reducing the number of unemployed people through the self-employment program, which the Bureau implemented with the Department of Economic Development at the Brcko District Government.
He added that KM 750,000 would be invested in the implementation of the self-employment program in the current year, providing employment for at least 70 people from the register of the Employment Bureau.
"This year we are also planning a two-year employment incentive program, for which we will allocate the amount of KM 5,000, for people with secondary education, respectively, and KM 7500 for people with higher education," Jevtic explained.
