SARAJEVO, January 10 (FENA) - On the occasion of the diplomatic note sent by Georgia to Bosnia and Herzegovina, which refers to the arrival of the delegation of South Ossetia to Bosnia and Herzegovina, led by Mr. Anatoly Bibilov, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of BiH expresses the view that Bosnia and Herzegovina and Georgia have good and friendly relations based on mutual respect for territorial integrity and sovereignty, said the MFA of BiH.
As the statement reads, since the problem of the self-proclaimed independence of the Georgian province of South Ossetia is an open issue that we hope the two sides will find a solution for, Bosnia and Herzegovina is taking a stand of non-interference in the internal issues of other countries and expresses hope that the problems will be solved peacefully and through dialogue of the parties that have opposing views.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina did not receive any official announcement of the arrival of the delegation headed by Mr. Anatoly Bibilov, nor was the BiH Foreign Ministry in any way informed or included in the arrival and the stay of that delegation.
The answer to the note submitted by Georgia will be prepared in accordance with the above-mentioned facts and in accordance with the positive diplomatic practice of maintaining friendly bilateral relations between the two countries,” stated the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
A press conference is scheduled for tomorrow at 16:00 hrs. in Banja Luka, where Minister of Foreign Affairs of BiH Igor Crnadak will speak on this topic.
