BANJA LUKA, January 11 (FENA) - The BiH Presidency Member Mladen Ivanić said today he is confident that the United States will appoint an adequate person to the position of ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina.
He did not want to comment unofficial allegations that Brian Hoyt Yee, after resigning as Assistant Deputy Secretary of State for Europe and Eurasia, will be appointed as the US Ambassador to BiH.
“To us, the Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Europe and Eurasia is very important, and who this person will be, it remains to be seen,” said Ivanić.
He said that the Presidency of BiH has not discussed the visit of the president of the self-proclaimed and internationally unrecognized South Ossetia Anatoly Bibilov to Banja Luka on January 9, on the occasion of the ‘Day of RS’ and that he could not comment on this issue.
