SARAJEVO, January 12 (FENA) – In the period from January to November 2017, tourists made 1,224,477 visits to Bosnia and Herzegovina, which is up by 13.7 percent; and 2,523,545 overnight stays, which is up by 12.4 percent in comparison to the same period in 2016.
The number of domestic tourists was 3.8 percent higher, while the number of overnight stays of foreign tourists was 16.1 percent higher than in the same period of 2016.
In the total number of overnight stays, the share of domestic tourists was 27.8 percent, while the share of foreign tourists was 72.2 percent.
Most of the overnight stays were made by tourists from Croatia (11.1 percent), Serbia (7.9 percent), Turkey (7.4 percent), Italy (5.8 percent), United Arab Emirates (5.3 percent), Slovenia and Poland (5.1 percent each) and Germany (4.0 percent), which is a total of 51.7 percent.
