SPLIT, January 14 (FENA) - Prime Minister of Croatia and President of the Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) Andrej Plenković called on all who can to help the Croats in BiH in the October elections to enable them to be represented by the legitimate representatives of the Croat people in the institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

“A large number of our people originating from Bosnia and Herzegovina live in Croatia. All of you who have the means and dual citizenship should participate in the elections in BiH in 2018, and help the legitimate representation of the Croat people in the BiH institutions. I speak with full confidence because the fate of the Croat people in BiH is one of the key strategic issues for the Croatian state, our policy and our values,” said Plenković in a speech at the celebration on the occasion of the 28th anniversary of the establishment of the HDZ in Split, Hina reports.

In his words, this year's elections in BiH can be "extremely important for the long-term position, equality and the constitutionality of the Croat people in BiH."

“Therefore, as a sister party, we will invest special effort to engage a large number of our people to vote and help in the election success of HDZ BiH and Croat parties in the autumn elections,” said  Plenković.
