With support of USAID, 13 companies from the diaspora have created 80 new jobs

SARAJEVO, January 17 (FENA) - Representatives of USAID today presented 13 companies in Sarajevo, whose projects have been selected for the grant in the total amount of 391,000 KM within the USAID Project "Strengthening the Diaspora's Role in the Economic Development of Bosnia and Herzegovina".

Head of Economic Development Department of USAID Mission to BiH Andrew Boegel said that these funds, as well as another two million KM invested by the companies themselves, have enabled the creation of 80 new jobs.

He explained that the companies that received the funds come from the metal, food, textile, IT sector, and agriculture industries.

Head of the USAID Project "Strengthening the Diaspora's Role in the Economic Development of Bosnia and Herzegovina" Sanjin Arifagić said that the project was launched nine months ago, and that the Council of Diaspora Investors has been established.

He emphasized that they started with the technical assistance program for the companies from the diaspora, and opened the premises of the Diaspora Business Center in Sarajevo.

The companies that have received the funds are: Sućo, Movida, Probosing, FANA - Arifagić, Te Ora, Lumitic, Freund, ADV Pax, Code Line Solutions, Talbot, BMT, Master Engineering and Sitex.

It was announced that the next call within the same project would be announced by the end of February.
